Pokémon is a globally integrated entertainment franchise that blends gaming, storytelling, and consumer products into a single, highly coordinated ecosystem. As a highly recognized global brand with revenue in the $3B range, the company had recently implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to modernize finance, supply chain planning and execution and support continued global growth. Pokémon's core processes required significant IT involvement, creating delays and limiting the ability of business teams to quickly access insights and make decisions.
Visability into Real-World Operations
Pokemon needed a clear understanding of how its processes were functioning in real-world operations. Traditional assessments relying on interviews and workshops provided only partial visability into the underlying issues. To gain a deeper, objective view, the company engaged R-Cubed Consulting to apply its Process Data Intelligence methodology.
R-Cubed analyzed transaction flows, system events, and workflow activity across Pokémon’s Oracle ecosystem. This data-driven approach allowed the team to evaluate how transactions processed through the system rather than relying on anecdotal feedback. Because the analysis leveraged existing system data, the review was completed quickly and with minimal disruption to business users.
Valuable and Targeted Recommendations
The engagement uncovered clear insights into cycle times, process bottlenecks, rework patterns, and process variations. In total, 61 targeted recommendations were identified and consolidated into 16 prioritized initiatives based on effort and business impact. An additional 16 AI-driven optimization opportunities were also surfaced to further improve system performance and user experience.
With a structured, data-backed roadmap in place, Pokémon gained a clear path to optimize its ERP environment and support the continued evolution of its global business.
