Success Story

Brinker International Powers Self-Service Reporting Across the Enterprise with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

Getting Ready for Go-Live

Brinker International, the restaurant and hospitality company behind some of the industry's most recognized brands, such as Chili’s and Maggiano’s, was preparing to go live on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. The rollout spanned Finance, Supply Chain Management/Procurement, and Human Capital Management (including Payroll) and touched 15 business groups across the organization.

Go-live readiness depended on more than the new platform alone. Brinker needed its business groups to be able to report on day one, with the dashboards, reports, and analytics in place to support finance, operations, and HR teams from the moment the system went live.  To get there, Brinker engaged R-Cubed Consulting to build out a self-service reporting capability on Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and prepare business users to be sef-sufficient.

The Challenge

Brinker was looking for a stronger OTBI enablement plan to support business user reporting for its Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP go-live across Finance, SCM, and HCM. Fifteen business groups each needed their own tailored dashboards, reports, and infolets, ready to use from month one of the new system.

Equally important, Brinker's business users didn't yet have the skills to build, deploy, and govern OTBI reports on their own. Without that capability, the organization risked leaning on IT for even routine reporting needs after go-live.

The Outcome

R-Cubed designed and delivered 15 dashboards, 67 reports, and 15 infolets across Finance, SCM/Procurement, and HCM using Oracle OTBI, giving each of Brinker's 15 business groups the reporting tools built specifically for how they operate. Alongside the build, R-Cubed trained more than 30 subject matter experts from those 15 business groups, combining general enablement sessions with hands-on, focused workshops so users could confidently create and manage their own ad hoc reports and analysis.

R-Cubed also established a reporting change control and governance framework, giving Brinker a repeatable process for managing new reports and dashboard changes as the organization's needs evolved after go-live.

Brinker went live on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP with all 97 OTBI deliverables in place, enabling day-one reporting across every business group in Finance, SCM, and HCM. Business users are now equipped to handle their own ad hoc reporting and analysis, reducing dependence on IT and giving finance and operational leaders faster access to the insights they need. With a governance framework in place to manage reporting changes going forward, Brinker has a sustainable, self-service reporting model built to support the business well beyond go-live.
